SmEdit is a compact text editor that packs far more features than its size suggests. Due to its highly configurable design, it can be as basic or as featured as you want. This makes SmEdit an extremely quick loading and flexible editor for most tasks. All Sinner Computing software, including SmEdit, was developed using SmEdit.
Highlights include: Window On-Top setting, Auto Fixed-Pitch and Terminal font switching and word wrap selection, Bookmarks, programmable context menu insert text and run file list, auto file registering for 12 file types (plus 2 customizable types) with a unique descriptive icon for each file type, optional and configurable toolbar, optional Status bar, tray minimisation, word/character/letter/number/line/sentence count, external modification notification, partial loading for extremely large files, printing, a customizable tool bar, a status bar with line and column number display, Unicode support, time insert, goto-line, full search and replace, multimode Auto save and default window size setting. |

| Permission is given for all forms of distribution, including CD compilations and Websites. Just keep it in the ZIP file to keep the files together. To help us keep track of its distribution we would like an EMail from you to get a general idea of its usage, and also to encourage further improvement. Advice/insults (on the subject of the program, not the programmer) are also welcome. PPeople who EMail can also be added to a mailing list and be notified of the newest version. Simply send an EMail with "SmEdADD" in the subject. To be removed from this list, write an EMail with "SmEdREMOVE" in the subject. Sinner Computing does not give out your EMail address to anyone. |

| Once you have evaluated SmEdit then you are required to pay the Registration Fee if you wish to continue using it. How long can you evaluate SmEdit for? As long as you see fit! However, the program will start reminding (nagging) you of SmEdits Shareware status after about 30 days. Registered users also receive priority support, but currently all EMails are responded to as fast as possible. |
