| Description |
Silver Key is a program that encrypts files or folders, and produces self-extracting encrypted parcels, which can be sent over the Internet. Silver Key does not require your correspondent to have any cryptographic software installed. The only thing the recipient needs to decrypt the data is the right password or key.
When you encrypt a file with Silver Key (dragging it to the Silver Key icon, for example), the program first compresses and encrypts the file, and attaches a small decrypting program to the encrypted file. When your correspondent receives the parcel, he must execute it in order to decrypt the data. |

This agreement is a binding legal agreement between the Silver Key software developer and the purchasers, users or evaluators of Silver Key ("Product"). Installation of this software implies your full acceptance of the terms of this license agreement.
Evaluation
You are hereby licensed to use this Product for evaluation purposes without charge for a period of 30 days. When this period expires you must either purchase the software, or remove it from your computer.
Licensed Version
One licensed copy of Product may either be used by a single person who uses the software personally on one or more computers, or installed on a single workstation not used simultaneously by multiple users. You may not rent, lease, assign, or transfer Product license.
Restrictions
You may not translate, reverse engineer, recompile, or disassemble the Product except to the extent the foregoing restriction is expressly prohibited by applicable law.
You may not modify the Product or merge all or any part of the Product with another program.
Distribution
This software may be freely distributed, provided that:

Term

Warranty
We warrant that the Product will perform substantially in accordance with the accompanying materials for a period of ninety days from the date you acquire it. If such a defect occurs, it will be replaced free of charge. This remedy is your exclusive remedy for breach of this warranty. It gives you certain rights and you may have other legislated rights, which may vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
Limitation of Warranties and Liability
Except for the express warranty above, the product is provided on an "as is" basis, without any other warranties or conditions, expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantable quality, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, or those arising by law, statute, usage of trade, or course of dealing. The entire risk as to the results and performance of the product is assumed by you. Neither we nor our dealers or suppliers will have any liability to you or any other person or entity for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, loss of revenue or profit, lost or damaged data or other commercial or economic loss, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages, or they are foreseeable. We are also not responsible for claims by any third party. Our maximum aggregate liability to you and that of our dealers and suppliers will not exceed the amount paid by you for the product. |
