| Description |
RemoteShutdown allows an NT/2K/XP Administrator to remotely shutdown any number of NT/2K/XP Workstations over which they have administrative control via either a GUI interface or a command-line interface.
You can specify a delay, which can either be an absolute time (eg. 8pm) or a relative time (eg. "20 minutes from now"), during which a message you specify can be displayed. Alternatively you can specify a shutdown without warning. Applications running on the target machine(s) at the time of shutdown can be allowed to close, or can be terminated immediately.
Whilst a delayed remote shutdown is taking place, you can abort the shutdown of any or all of the workstations on the shutdown list.
You can also perform a delayed shutdown of your own (local) machine, with optional support for APM power-off
Options can be set via both a GUI and a command-line interface. Groups of workstations can be specified in the GUI and saved* for use later with either the GUI or command-line interface, allowing repetitive automated shutdowns to be performed.
To make full use of RemoteShutdown you must be running Windows NT/2K/XP. Whilst you can still do local delayed shutdowns under Windows95/98/ME, remote shutdowns are not supported. |

* You may not charge any fee for the copy or use of the evaluation Software itself, but you may charge a distribution fee that is reasonably related to any cost you incur distributing the evaluation Software.
* You must not represent in any way that you are selling the Software itself. NOTE: This exclusion does not prevent affiliates from selling licenses under the terms of their Affiliate Agreement.
* Your distribution of the evaluation Software will not entitle you to any compensation from Coruscant Ltd.
* You acknowledge that you have only the limited, non-exclusive right to use and copy the Software as expressly stated in this license and the End-User License Agreement (EULA), and that Coruscant Ltd. retains all other rights.
* You agree not to remove or modify any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notices which appear in the Software, nor to modify the evaluation Software in any way whatsoever.

RemoteShutdown v3.3 END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)
You may use this software only as described in this license.
If you do not agree to the terms of this license, do not install or use the software.
1. Software. The capitalized term "Software" used below refers to the software identified above, any updates to the software, any supplemental code provided to you by Coruscant Ltd., the User's Guide, any associated software components, any related media and printed materials, and any "online" or electronic documentation.
2. Grant of License.
Evaluation:
You may use the Software without charge on an evaluation basis during which certain features are limited or disabled.
You may distribute exact copies of the Software provided you do not sell or profit from the product. You may, however, charge a reasonable fee to cover distribution costs and/or web hosting / bandwidth costs.
Registered Copy:
You must pay the license fee(s) to unrestrict the software.
Licenses are available both in "server" and "client" forms. Client licenses may be "named" or "unnamed". For each domain or workgroup that you wish to use the Software with, you require a server license.
For each workstation that is a member of a domain or workgroup for which you have a server license, you require a client license. Thus if there are 100 workstations that are part of a domain, and you wish to shut down 25 at a time, you require one server license and 100 (not 25) unnamed client licenses. If you have insufficient licenses then shutdowns will be disabled for all workstations apart from ones that have a named license.
Named licenses allow the machine name of the workstation to be shutdown to be specified. A machine bearing that name can then be shutdown regardless of which domain it is on (provided there is a server licence for that domain) and regardless of whether or not there are enough unnamed client licenses.
Licenses are delivered in a form of a license key.
You may not distribute, share, rent, lease, or otherwise make available your license keys to anyone else. You may permanently transfer all of your rights under this license provided you notify Coruscant Ltd. of the transfer so that new license keys can be arranged.
3. Restrictions. You may not reduce the Software to human readable form, reverse engineer, de-compile, or disassemble the Software, except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation. You may not rent, lease, or lend the Software.
4. Support Services. Coruscant Ltd. may provide you with support services related to the Software. Use of support services is governed by the user manual, online documentation, and other Coruscant Ltd. materials, as they may be modified from time to time.
5. Termination. This license terminates if you fail to comply with its terms and conditions. If your license terminates, you must destroy all copies of the Software. The termination of this license does not limit Coruscant Ltd.'s other rights it may have by law.
6. Copyright. You acknowledge that you have only the limited, non-exclusive right to use and copy the Software as expressly stated in this license and that Coruscant Ltd. retains all other rights. You agree not to remove or modify any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notices which appear in the Software. The Software is protected by United Kingdom copyright law and international treaty provision.
7. NO WARRANTIES. The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, without limitation, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. The Software is provided with all faults and the entire risk as to satisfactory quality, performance, accuracy and effort is with you.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. Coruscant Ltd. is not liable to you for any consequential, special, incidental, or indirect damages of any kind arising out of the delivery, performance, or use of the Software, even if Coruscant Ltd. has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Good data processing procedure dictates that any program be thoroughly tested with non-critical data before relying on it, and a good backup of system settings and data is done prior to running the Software. The user must assume the entire risk of using the Software. Coruscant Ltd.'s liability for any claim related to your purchase or use of the Software, whether in contract, tort, or any other theory of liability will not exceed the license fee paid by you.
All rights of any kind for the software that are not expressly granted in this agreement are entirely and exclusively reserved to and by Coruscant Ltd.
