Using ProjectCompanion, project teams are enabled with tools for project planning, project status tracking, action management, document sharing and project communication. Teams can easily report time and expenses. A major strength of ProjectCompanion is the combination of easy-to-use tools for project support and flexible tools for tracking and invoicing. ProjectCompanion is particularly well suited for organizations carrying out professional services in the project form.
ProjectCompanion provides support for the whole project life-cycle. It supports initiation, execution and termination of projects, and makes re-use of project information possible. During the project, ProjectCompanion provides tools for project planning and control. Project status reports graphically show time and cost compared to budget. Time- and expense reports are easily created using ProjectCompanion. Powerful reporting functions make it possible to analyze data in detail. ProjectCompanion also provides support for invoicing. Billable time and expenses are easily transformed to invoices using a wizard. With ProjectCompanion, you have complete control of invoice data and several options for printing invoices (such as html, MS Access and MS Excel). Invoice data can be exported in XML and transformed to integrate with accounting systems. Documents can easily be shared in the project team using the document view, with an intuitive file management interface.
ProjectCompanion consists of a web system and mobile clients used by project team members, and a management console and report tool used by managers and administrators. With this system structure, users have access to the tools for operative work, while managers and administrators have access to tools for control and invoicing.

License agreement
This text describes the license agreement for the products TimeCompanion Freeware, TimeCompanion Desktop, TimeCompanion Standard, TimeCompanion Professional, ProjectCompanion Freeware, ProjectCompanion Standard and ProjectCompanion Professional. The license agreement is valid for any installation and/or use of any of the above mentioned software products.
This text is a license agreement between you (either an individual or a single entity) and Inmotion Software and Consulting HB, Sweden. By installing, copying, or otherwise using the software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this license agreement. Inmotion Software and Consulting reserves all rights not specifically granted herein. If you do not agree to the terms, do not install or use the products.
The systems are supplied with a valid Freeware license without cost. Other licenses must be issued by Inmotion Software and Consulting. These licenses are only valid for the entities that have paid for the product and have received a valid license. If you do not have a license and proof of purchase, you do not have the right to use the system with more than three active projects, which is the limitation in the Freeware license.
The license grants you to install one copy of the server software on a single server, using a single database. You may keep one copy of the software for backup purposes and to facilitate client installations. The license grants you to use the software with the number of users agreed on purchase.
Limitations
Sale. You may not sell, or otherwise transfer for value, the products. Limitations on Reverse Engineering, Decompilation, and Disassembly. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the products, or create commercial or other systems based on components of the products. Functionality. Your license may be restricted in terms of modules, active users, duration, transaction volume, functionality etc as defined at the time of purchase. Redistribution. You may not redistribute the software without written authorization from Inmotion Software and Consulting. Upgrades. Installing major upgrades (as defined by Inmotion Software and Consulting) is not included in the license. Support. Use of support services is governed by Inmotion Software and Consulting internal policies and programs. Support is not included in the license, but can be purchased as a complementary service. Termination. This license agreement may be terminated at any time by Inmotion Software and Consulting. Warranties. No warranties are associated with the products. Inmotion Software and Consulting may not be held liable for any damages whatsoever arising out of the use of the software. The software may not be put to use in situations where warranty and liabilities cannot be legally excluded. In any case, the liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the software.
Compliance with license
Organizations using the products agree to provide proof that the use of the software is in conformity with a valid license, within 30 days upon request from Inmotion Software and Consulting. The license file and information must be protected from unauthorized use by the entity purchasing the license. Any distribution of unauthorized copies of the license may lead to the license being revoked. Use of the software beyond the rights granted in the license may lead to the license being revoked.
Trade regulations
The software may not be copied or used in countries where Swedish export laws restrict the use. If export, import or use is restricted, this license is invalid, and you must destroy all your copies of the software.
Freeware license limitations
The Freeware Edition can be used without cost, but the use of the system is restricted. The current restriction is that only three projects can be active at the same time. The rights granted under the Freeware license can be changed by Inmotion Software and Consulting in future releases. Support is not included in the license. If you find the Freeware system useful, you are encouraged to give a contribution to a charity organization.
University license
Non-commercial schools and Universities may be approved to use the software at a discount price, or without cost. Support is not included in free licenses.
Copyrights and trademarks
The products are protected by copyright laws and international copyright treaties, as well as other intellectual property laws and treaties. The products are licensed, not sold or transferred. Installing or using the products without a valid license is a violation of international copyright laws, and will be prosecuted to the maximum extent under law. TimeCompanion (tm) and ProjectCompanion (tm) are trademarks of Inmotion Software and Consulting. All other copyrights and trademarks are owned by Inmotion Software and Consulting or its suppliers. You may not prevent, alter or interfere with the display of any copyright, trademark, or proprietary right notice or logo incorporated in the Software or included with materials.
Legal matters
All legal matters regarding the products will be managed in Swedish court according to Swedish law, unless otherwise is explicitly stated in international law. If any part of this agreement is found void and unenforceable, it will not affect the validity of the balance of the agreement, which shall remain valid and enforceable according to its terms. |
