| The Prime Number Spiral (a.k.a. the Ulam Spiral) is constructed as follows: Consider a rectangular grid. We start with the central point and arrange the positive integers in a spiral fashion (anticlockwise). The prime numbers are then marked. There is a tendency for the prime numbers to occur on diagonal lines, however far out into the spiral one goes. This is software is for exploring the Prime Number Spiral. It also (a) allows coloring of the prime numbers in various ways, (b) displays a random arrangement to compare with the primes and (c) shows how square and triangular numbers are located on the spiral. |

No modification of any sort, sale, lease, disassembly or distribution by any means of the Software is permitted. No derivative work may be made without the prior permission of the copyright holder, Hermetic Systems.
The Software remains the property of Hermetic Systems. What is granted in return for a license fee is a license to use the Software. Any rights not explicitly granted by Hermetic Systems ("the Licensor") are reserved.
A single-user license granted by the Licensor to a person or company (the Licensee) for the use of the Software in unlimited and fully functional form provides the Licensee and any employee of the Licensee with the non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Software in that form on one computer at any one time for its intended purpose.
