Easy Date Converter is a program to perform arithmetical operations with Common Era (Gregorian) and Julian dates, Julian day numbers and ordinal dates of the form yyyy-ddd. It is a bilingual English/German program.
Suppose you run an advertisement which expires 45 days from today. What date will that be? How many weekdays are there in 2006? If you have an investment which matures on June 30th, 2007, how many days away is that? When will be (or was) the 10,000th day in your life? How many years, months and days until December 21st, 2012? If you find this sort of calculation a tad difficult then this program will make it easy.
Easy Date Converter provides four calendrical operations:
1. Calculation of the number of days from one date to another.
2. Addition of a number of days to a date and subtraction of a number of days from a date.
3. Interconversion among Gregorian (a.k.a. Common Era) dates, Julian Calendar dates, ordinal dates in the form yyyy-ddd and Julian day numbers.
4. Display of a month in any year according to either the Common Era Calendar or the Julian Calendar.
Weekend days may be included or excluded in date calculations.
The program supports batch computation using predefined operations in an input file. |

Hermetic Systems is the business name of Peter Meyer, the developer of this software, and the owner and maintainer of the Hermetic Systems website at http://www.hermetic.ch/.
The Easy Date Converter software ("the Software") consists of the executable file and the other files installed by the installation program edc_setup.exe obtainable from the Hermetic Systems website.
The Software is protected by copyright, which is vested in Hermetic Systems. The Software may be downloaded from the Hermetic Systems website or another download site for the purpose of the installation of the Software and its evaluation with regard to the purchase of a user license. Neither the installation program nor any work derived from it may be distributed further by any means without the permission of the copyright holder.
All intellectual property rights related to the Software are the property of and remain vested in Hermetic Systems. You may not rent or lease the Software. You may not modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software or any part thereof or otherwise attempt to derive source code or create derivative works therefrom. You may not remove, alter or destroy any proprietary, trademark or copyright markings or notices contained within the Software. No derivative work may be made without the prior permission of the copyright holder. Any rights not explicitly granted by Hermetic Systems are reserved.
In return for a license fee paid to Hermetic Systems you are granted a license to use the Software and you are provided with an activation key for each installation of the Software consistent with these license terms. If you are an individual person you receive a single-user license and this entitles you to use the Software on all personal computers (laptops and desktops) in your private household. If you are a corporation then you must purchase either (a) one single-user license for each installation of the Software on a particular computer or (b) a site license, which allows multiple installations.
After installation of the Software an activation key may be requested by the purchaser of the license via a web page on the Hermetic Systems website. The activation key is sent automatically by email after the purchase of the user license has been registered.
The function of the activation key is to remove any temporal or functional limitations on the Software as first installed. A separate activation key is required for each installation on a particular computer (in other words, an activation key works only on a particular PC). In the event that your system crashes, or you upgrade your hardware or operating system, or acquire a new computer, an activation key (the same or a different one) will be supplied at no charge, and may be obtained in the same way as the first activation key.
Installation of the Software constitutes an agreement that the Software is provided "as is", without any warranties or guarantees. Hermetic Systems makes every effort to ensure that the software is bug-free and performs as stated in the online user manual, but does not guarantee that it is error-free. You assume responsibility for selecting the Software and using it for your intended purposes. In no event shall Hermetic Systems or distributors of its software be liable for any any damages whatsoever arising out of use or inability to use the Software, even if advised of the possibiity of such damages. |
