Dictation Buddy is a Windows based program that records your voice from a microphone or telephone connection and saves the recording as a compressed sound file that you can play, edit, send, or publish.
Dictation Buddy can be used to transcribe a recording or to record phone conversations from a single phone or in call-center environments
The main features of Dictation Buddy include:
- Automatic sound activation features mean that recording starts when audio sounds are detected
- Automatic"save"facilities mean that sound files are automatically saved when a conversation ends. The files are saved in a user specified directory with a file naming format determined by the user.
- Imbedded text and bookmark facility.

- OLE support that allows you to imbed your recording in other files such as Microsoft Word documents.
- Direct sending of your recording via email.

This Limited Distribution License Agreement (throughout this section, the"Agreement") is a legal agreement between you, the distributor, and High Criteria, Inc. By copying any part of Dictation Buddy, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
As the copyright and trademark holder for Dictation Buddy, High Criteria authorizes individuals and organizations to copy the files contained in Dictation Buddy Evaluation Package for their own use or for giving to others, ONLY when the following conditions are met:
1. The Dictation Buddy Evaluation Package - including all related program, data and documentation files - may not be modified in any way and must be distributed together, as a complete package, without exception. You may not distribute corrupted or otherwise damaged files.
2. No price or other compensation may be charged for the Dictation Buddy Evaluation Package. A reasonable distribution cost may be charged for the distribution media, shipping and handling.
4. Neither this Agreement nor any part or portion hereof shall be assigned or sublicensed, except as described herein. Should any provision of this Agreement be held to be void, invalid, unenforceable or illegal by a court, the validity and enforceability of the other provisions shall not be affected thereby. If any provision is determined to be unenforceable, you agree to a modification of such provision to provide for enforcement of the provision's intent, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Failure of a party to enforce any provision of this Agreement shall not constitute or be construed as a waiver of such provision or of the right to enforce such provision. If you fail to comply with any terms of this Agreement, your license is automatically terminated, and you may be prosecuted at any time under national and European laws and under International Treaty provisions.
5. You acknowledge that, you have read this Agreement, you understand this agreement, and understand that by copying any part of Dictation Buddy, you agree to be bound by this Agreement's terms and conditions. You further agree that, except for written separate agreements between High Criteria and you, this Agreement is a complete and exclusive statement of your distribution rights. This agreement supersedes all prior oral agreements, proposals or understandings, and any other communications between High Criteria and you relating to the subject matter of this Agreement. |

You should carefully read the following terms and conditions before using this software. Unless you have a different license agreement signed by High Criteria Computing, Inc. your use of this software indicates your acceptance of this license agreement and warranty.
Registered Version
One registered copy of Dictation Buddy must be used by a single person who uses the software personally on up to three computers, or installed on a single workstation used non-concurrently by multiple people, but not both.
Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario.
Disclaimer of Warranty
THIS SOFTWARE AND THE ACCOMPANYING FILES ARE SOLD"AS IS"AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES AS TO PERFORMANCE OF MERCHANTABILITY OR ANY OTHER WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. Because of the various hardware and software environments in which Dictation Buddy can be installed,
NO WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS OFFERED. Should the Software prove defective, you and not High Criteria ASSUME THE ENTIRE COST OF ANY DAMAGES OR LOST PROFITS WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF BUSINESS PROFITS, BUSINESS NTERRUPTION, LOSS OF BUSINESS INFORMATION, OR OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS) RESULTING FROM THE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN OR PRODUCED BY THE SOFTWARE. YOU ASSUME ALL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SELECTION OF THE SOFTWARE TO ACHIEVE YOUR INTENDED RESULTS, AND FOR THE INSTALLATION OF, USE OF, AND RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE SOFTWARE.
The user must assume the entire risk of using the program.
ANY LIABILITY OF THE SELLER WILL BE LIMITED EXCLUSIVELY TO PRODUCT REPLACEMENT OR REFUND OF PURCHASE PRICE. |
