AnyNotes is a powerful personal information manager (PIM). Store texts, images, web pages, links, reminders, OLE objects and attached files in a tree-like database of Folders and Notes.
Unlike most PIMs, AnyNotes represents data in the triple-paned Explorer-like interface. The"tree"pane shows the expandable tree of folders. The"list"pane shows the contents of the current folder, including notes and subfolders. The"edit"pane shows the text of the current note and allows to edit it. The three-paned interface allows to easily deal with huge databases, representing them in a compact observable form.
The most important AnyNotes features are:
- One-click memorizing of a web page with its HTML contents, graphics, URL and title.
- One-click creation of a note holding the clipboard text contents.
- Bookmarking web page by dragging its URL from Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator
and dropping it onto the AnyNotes icon in the Tray.
- Fast global search by text context, dates or a set of attributes.

This Software Licensing Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between
you and Lena Pankratova, TaurSoft. By installing this Software, by loading
or running the Software, by placing or copying the Software onto your hard drive,
or by distributing the Software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement.
These are the only terms by which TaurSoft permits copying or use.
TAURSOFT LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR AnyNotes
1. THE SOFTWARE.
The Software licensed under this agreement is the computer program AnyNotes,
which consists of executable files, data files, and documentation.
2. GRANT OF LICENSE.
TaurSoft grants you the right to use the Software in accordance
with the terms of this Agreement. You may load the Software into RAM as well
as install it on a hard disk or other storage device. You may not modify,
translate, disassemble, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative
works based upon the Software.
2.1. SHAREWARE VERSION LICENSE.
You may distribute copies of the shareware version of the Software freely
to other users, provided that any copy must contain the original, unaltered
files and proprietary notices. You have the ability to register the shareware
version at any time by purchasing a registration code from TaurSoft,
and the Registered Version License below will then apply.
2.2. REGISTERED VERSION LICENSE.
When you register the Software, you will receive a personal registration code
that will enable you to unlock the shareware version of the Software into the
full registered version. You agree not to distribute your registration code
to others and to use it only for your own personal use of the Software.
You acknowledge that distribution of your registration code to others,
whether intentional or unintentional, could damage TaurSoft both financially
and professionally. Therefore, you agree to keep your registration
code confidential. Any unauthorized distribution of your registration code
will result in immediate and automatic termination of your license.
3. COPYRIGHT.
The Software is owned by Lena Pankratova, TaurSoft and is protected
by United States copyright laws and international treaties. You must treat
the Software like any other copyrighted material, except that you may make
copies of the shareware version of the Software to give to other persons
under the terms of this Agreement. You may not distribute copies
of a registration code to other users. Except as expressly licensed by
TaurSoft in writing, TaurSoft reserves the exclusive copyright and
all other rights, title and interest to distribute the Software and
to use Trademarks in connection with them."Trademarks"refers
to the name of the Software, the name TaurSoft, and all logos,
which are trademarks of TaurSoft.
4. NO WARRANTY.
THIS SOFTWARE AND THE ACCOMPANYING FILES ARE PROVIDED"AS-IS"AND WITHOUT
WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILTY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND DIRECT OR
INDIRECT DAMAGES ARISING FORM THE USE OR INSTALLATION OF THE PROGRAM AND FILES.
5. TERM.
The term of this license grant is perpetual. You may terminate this Agreement at
any time by destroying all copies of the Software in your possession. Your license
to use the Software will automatically terminate if you breach the terms of
this Agreement.
6. DISTRIBUTION.
TaurSoft allows and encourages all web sites, on-line services,
shareware disk vendors, CD-ROM vendors, bulletin board systems, and end-users
to freely distribute the shareware version of this Software. If you wish to distribute
the Software, you may obtain the most recent version from
http://www.anynotes.com. It is generally not necessary to contact
TaurSoft for authorization, and you may begin offering the shareware
version immediately.
