Aid4Mail is a user-friendly Windows tool that helps you migrate your email messages to a different mail client, export them for viewing through Internet Explorer, MS Excel, or a database, convert them to extract or re-insert attachments, and archive them to save space or for compliance with legal requirements. It supports most popular mail client programs and processes all messages without losing any information, including those with file attachments and embedded contents like pictures and background images.
Aid4Mail gives you the choice to export email merged into a single mailbox file or as individual message files. You can also extract file attachments and embedded contents separately from your mail folders. Another option lets you save your email without file attachments or, if you want to save even more disk space, as plain text messages. You can also extract names and email addresses of people that have been corresponding with you. This feature is ideal if you need to rebuild an address book or create a mailing list.
There are three versions of Aid4Mail: Standard, Professional, and Enterprise. The Professional and Enterprise versions offer similar capabilities but use different licensing models. Both can handle more than 25 mail clients and mailbox formats. The Enterprise version also includes a Win32-console version of Aid4Mail that power users can run from batch files and other applications. The Standard version provides an economical solution for the needs of most home users.
Aid4Mail Professional can export from and import messages into Office Outlook and other Windows Messaging/Exchange clients. It offers a powerful archiving feature that enables you to save all your mail directly into highly compressed ZIP files. Attachments are stored in a separate folder within the ZIP files, allowing easy extraction, and mail folders are stored in a non-proprietary mailbox format that most mail clients can read, guaranteeing compatibility with future systems. |

1. LICENSE GRANT
1.1. TRIAL VERSION
This is not free software. Subject to the terms below, you are hereby
licensed by Fookes Software to use one copy of the SOFTWARE, on one
computer or workstation, for evaluation purposes without charge. "You"
means the company, entity, or individual installing or using the
SOFTWARE. "Use" means storing, loading, installing, executing, or
displaying the SOFTWARE. You may not modify the SOFTWARE or disable any
licensing or control features of the SOFTWARE except as an intended
part of the SOFTWARE's programming features.
1.2 PAID VERSION
"You" means the company, entity or individual whose funds are used to
pay the license fee. "Use" means storing, loading, installing,
executing or displaying the SOFTWARE. You may not modify the SOFTWARE
or disable any licensing or control features of the SOFTWARE except as
an intended part of the SOFTWARE's programming features. This license
is not transferable to any other system, or to another organization or
individual.
You may access the paid version of the SOFTWARE through a network,
provided that you have obtained individual licenses for the software
covering all computers that will run the software from the network. For
instance, if five different workstations will access the SOFTWARE on
the network, you will need a five-user license, whether they use the
SOFTWARE at different times or concurrently.
1.2.1. SINGLE-USER LICENSE FOR ONE COMPUTER Fookes Software grants you
a license to use one copy of this SOFTWARE on any one computer for as
many licenses as you purchase. Each license may only be used to process
the email files (mail folders, mailbox files, or mail profiles) belonging
to one person, or the members of one family in the case of private use.
1.2.2. SINGLE-USER LICENSE FOR UP TO THREE COMPUTERS Fookes Software
grants you a license to use one copy of this SOFTWARE on up to three
computers for as many licenses as you purchase. The three computers must
either all be in a private home and owned by a single person, or used
in a business environment by a single person (for example, a user's
office desktop, travel laptop, and home computer.) This license does
not allow you to use this SOFTWARE as a service for other users that do
not have their own license (see Customer-Service License below.)
1.2.3. FORENSIC-EXAMINATION LICENSE Fookes Software grants you a license
to use one copy of this SOFTWARE on any one computer for as many licenses
as you purchase. This license allows you to use the SOFTWARE to process
mail belonging other users.
1.2.4. CUSTOMER-SERVICE LICENSE Fookes Software grants you a license to
use one copy of this SOFTWARE on any one computer for as many licenses
as you purchase. This license allows you to use the SOFTWARE to process
mail for other users.
1.2.5. ENTERPRISE SITE LICENSE Fookes Software grants you a license to
install this SOFTWARE on computers owned by your company/institution/
organization/school within a radius of 10 miles (16 km) for up to 2000
employees/computers, as well as on secondary computers used exclusively by
these employees for office work (e.g. travel laptop and home computer). It
does not cover installation on computers which are owned by clients,
customers, or students of your company/institution/organization/school.
This license does not allow you to use this SOFTWARE as a service for
clients, customers, students, and other users external to your
company/institution/organization that do not have their own license
(see Customer-Service License above.)
1.2.6. UNLIMITED ENTERPRISE SITE LICENSE Fookes Software grants you a
license to install this SOFTWARE on all computers owned by your
company/institution/organization/school within a radius of 10 miles (16
km), as well as on secondary computers used exclusively by your employees
for office work (e.g. travel laptop and home computer). It does not cover
installation on computers which are owned by clients, customers, or
students of your company/institution/organization/school. This license

2. OWNERSHIP
The SOFTWARE is proprietary to Fookes Software. The SOFTWARE is
licensed, not sold, to you notwithstanding any reference herein to
"purchases." You acknowledge and agree that: (a) the SOFTWARE is
protected under U.S. copyright and other laws; (b) Fookes Software and
its licensors retain all copyrights and other intellectual property
rights in the SOFTWARE; (c) there are no implied licenses under this
License, and any rights not expressly granted to you hereunder are
reserved by Fookes Software; (d) you acquire no ownership or other
interest (other than your license rights) in or to the SOFTWARE; and
(e) Fookes Software owns all copies of the SOFTWARE, however made. You
agree that you will not, at any time, contest anywhere in the world
Fookes Software's ownership of the SOFTWARE, nor will you challenge the
validity of Fookes Software's rights in the SOFTWARE. You have no
rights hereunder to use any trademark or service mark belonging to
Fookes Software.
3. UNAUTHORIZED USE
You may not use, copy, rent, lease, sell, modify, decompile,
disassemble, otherwise reverse engineer, or transfer the SOFTWARE
except as provided in this agreement. Any such unauthorized use shall
result in immediate and automatic termination of this license.
4. DISTRIBUTION
Provided that you are distributing the current trial version of the
SOFTWARE (without activation code or registration file) you are hereby
licensed to make as many copies of the trial package of the SOFTWARE as
you wish; give exact copies of the original trial package of the
SOFTWARE to anyone; and distribute the trial package of the SOFTWARE in
its unmodified form via electronic means (Internet, BBS's, Shareware
distribution libraries, CD-ROMs, etc.). You may charge a distribution
fee for the package, but you must not represent in any way that you are
selling the software itself.
All distribution of SOFTWARE is further restricted with regard to
sources which also distribute virus source code and related virus
construction/creation materials. The SOFTWARE may not be made available
on any site, CD-ROM, or with any package which makes available or
contains viruses, virus source code, virus construction programs, or
virus creation material.
Permission to distribute the SOFTWARE is not transferable, assignable,
saleable, or franchisable. Each entity wishing to distribute the
package must independently satisfy the terms of the distribution
license.
5. U.S. GOVERNMENT INFORMATION
Use, duplication, or disclosure by the U.S. Government of the computer
software and documentation in this package shall be subject to
restrictions as set forth in subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in
Technical Data and Computer Software clause at DFARS 252.277-7013 (Oct
1988) and FAR 52.227-19 (Jun 1987). The Contractor is Fookes Software,
La Petite Fin 27, CH-1637 Charmey, Switzerland.
6. LIMITED WARRANTY
This SOFTWARE is provided on an "as is" basis. Fookes Software
disclaims all warranties relating to this SOFTWARE, whether expressed
or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties of
merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Neither Fookes
Software nor anyone else who has been involved in the creation,
production, or delivery of this SOFTWARE shall be liable for any
indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising out of the use
or inability to use such SOFTWARE, even if Fookes Software has been
advised of the possibility of such damages or claims. The person using
the SOFTWARE bears all risk as to the quality and performance of the
SOFTWARE.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation or exclusion of incidental
or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusion may not
apply to you to the extent that liability is by law incapable of
exclusion or restriction.
In no event shall any theory of liability exceed the license fee paid
to Fookes Software.
7. SEVERABILITY
In the event of invalidity of any provision of this license, the
parties agree that such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of this license.
8. NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES
In no event shall Fookes Software or its suppliers be liable to you for
any consequential, special, incidental, or indirect damages of any kind
arising out of the delivery, performance, or use of the SOFTWARE, even
if Fookes Software has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event will Fookes Software's liability for any claim, whether in
contract, tort, or any other theory of liability, exceed the license
fee paid by you, if any.
9. GOVERNING LAW
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of Switzerland, excluding
the application of its conflicts of law rules, and shall inure to the
benefit of Fookes Software and any successors, administrators, heirs,
and assigns. Any action or proceeding brought by either party against
the other arising out of or related to this agreement shall be brought
only in a COURT of competent jurisdiction located in Switzerland. The
parties hereby consent to in personam jurisdiction of said courts. The
United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of
Goods is specifically disclaimed.
10. INSPECTION AND TESTING
You agree and acknowledge that you will thoroughly inspect and test the
SOFTWARE for all of your purposes upon commencement of your use. Any
suit or other legal action, claim, or any arbitration relating in any
way to this agreement or software covered by it must be officially
filed or officially commenced no later than 90 days after your first
use of the software.
11. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
This is the entire agreement between you and Fookes Software, which
supersedes any prior agreement or understanding, whether written or
oral, relating to the subject matter of this license.
12. RESERVED RIGHTS
All rights not expressly granted here are reserved to Fookes Software. |
